Who is FEEDWORKS?

Feedworks Pty Ltd is an Australian owned partnership aimed at linking the best feed ingredients and technologies sourced from quality suppliers globally. This allows us to optimise value for our customers in the stockfeed and animal production industries in Australia, New Zealand & Oceania region.
Key examples of Feedworks approach include products like Avizyme, Porzyme and Phyzyme enzymes plus Betafin betaine (Danisco Animal Nutrition), Acid Buf (Celtic Sea Minerals), Bredol emulsifiers (Akzo Nobel), Elitox toxin deativators and others (Impextraco BV), Bos Koolus (Feedworks) and milling/liquid application systems (PLP Italy).Other quality products come from key suppliers like Diamond V Inc., QualiTech Inc., Ralco Corp, Realistic Ag, International Stock Foods Inc, Feed Logic Inc. Desert King Inc. Agolin SA, Microtracers Inc., Micronutrients Inc. and Ballard Group Inc.

 
Feedworks motto is “Performance through Science”. This symbolises Feedworks approach to working with customers, suppliers and the scientific community. Feedworks and its staff take great pride in its ability to introduce new technologies and then to see their development through research, market investigation and finally to commercialisation. The development and technical support of new products and technologies coupled with existing established products offers the right combination to both customers and suppliers.
 


 

 


 

Nick Kempe

Nick Kempe has a wealth of experience with over 25 years in feed milling and agriculture.  Nick graduated from Gatton College in 1973 and subsequently worked for Elanco as a sales representative.  After 4 years at Elanco Nick took a position with Barastoc Stockfeeds, before starting his own stockfeed milling business, Farmstock Feeds.  Farmstock grew into a very well respected and sizeable company during the subsequent 15 years of its operation.  Farmstock was sold to Ridley Agriproducts in 1996.  Nick started Feedworks in 1998 after a period where he farmed prawns in North Queensland.


 

Malcolm Mottram

Malcolm Mottram graduated from La Trobe University in 1985 with an Agricultural Science Degree.  In 1986 Malcolm was employed as a technical sales representative, for stockfeed ingredients by Tall-Bennett P/L.  He stayed with Tall-Bennett for 11 years graduating to Division Manager and then Director.  In 1996, Malcolm accepted a position in the USA to work with Finnsugar Bioproducts (Finnfeeds).  He worked as a Business Manager with Finnfeeds until 1999.  Malcolm's main role in the USA was marketing and developing the applications for Finnfeeds enzymes and betaine.  Upon his return to Australia Malcolm joined Nick in Feedworks.  Malcolm brings a wealth of knowledge and worldly experience in the development and marketing of agricultural products and technologies.

David Cadogan

 David Cadogan graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1991 with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Science before gaining a years experience as a Primary Producer on his family's Beef farm. In 1992 David accepted a position of trainee supervisor with Bunge Meat Industries and by 1993 graduated to a nutritionist, and later to a senior nutritionist role in 2000. His responsibilities included commercial nutrition, the co-ordination of nutritional research projects as well as investigating methods of value and cost effectiveness of feed additives. David has published innovative research in referred scientific journals and presented at a large number of national and international conferences. In 2003 David completed his post graduate studies with a PhD from The University of New England and in May he joined the team at Feedworks Pty Ltd as a Technical Services Manager bringing with him innovative technically based support to both current and potential customers.

Doug Pearson

 

 

    Doug Pearson graduated in 1986 with an Associate Diploma in Applied Science (Resource Management) and later that year began work in the aquaculture industry as a Technical Farm Manager. In 1988 he moved to Queensland joining Gold Coast Marine Aquaculture as the Farm Manager. During his 11 years with GCMA, Doug was involved in design, construction, power and water reticulation as well as the successful operation of the expanding farm including the construction of the hatchery and processing facility. In 1999 he joined Feedworks bringing with him not only a wealth of knowledge and experience in aquaculture, but also a solid background in machinery, liquid handling and water quality. Since joining Feedworks Doug has developed his skills in feed milling and piggery systems, these are the area’s that currently absorb his time and expertise.
