Bredol Poultry

  • Benefits of Bredol:
    • Allows greater flexibility in choice of liquids and dry raw materials in feed production.
    • Increased production rates with less resistance.
    • Reduced energy consumption.
    • More consistent feed quality with less fines.
    • Stable moisture at increased levels.
    • Better fat digestion by animals.
  • The emulsion:
    • The emulsion creates a single liquid product where the oil and water components are linked by Bredol.
    • In such circumstances no longer do we have water and oil “repelling” each other.
    • The emulsion allows and creates smaller micelle size for the oil.
    • It allows for a quick and even penetration of the liquid ingredients into the feed matrix and begin the work of digestion.
  • Fat digestion:
    • Endogenous enzymes and bile are critical in effective digestion of fat in the small intestine. Bredol works in two ways to improve fat digestion:
      • a) Mechanical action of reduced micelle size creates greater surface area for lipases and other enzymes to digest the fat more effectively.
      • b) Bredol itself enhances the effect of bile by reducing the tension between the water and oil phases in the gut.
  • Water addition:
    • We know water is critical for many chemical reactions.
    • In feed many feed/water reactions occur before ingestion. Hydration rate of the feed in the gut is critical to maintain feed intake and therefore performance. Bredol makes the feed more “water loving”, improving hydration and feed digestion.
    • Enhancing moisture retention and uptake in feed will start feed/water reactions earlier and lead to improved performance.
  • Micro ingredient distribution:
    • Using the emulsion technology, we can create the environment to carry all liquid based ingredients into the feed.
    • This allows for a more even distribution of micro ingredients.
    • Things like methionine, choline, yolk pigments and fat itself are more evenly distributed in the feed enhancing the ability of the feed to produce consistent results and consistent animal production rates.
